Abel Morton

Abel Morton

Born in 1992, Abel Morton is an aspiring sports journalist who is currently a year away from completing his degree at the University of East London. Abel's love for Tennis started in the summer of 2004 where he watched his first Tennis match in full on TV which happened to be the 2004 Wimbledon final contested by Roger Federer and Andy Roddick.

The enthralling final was all Abel needed to watch to convince him that this was the sport for him. Having followed the sport now for the best part of 8 years, Abel's all time favourite Tennis player is Andy Roddick who recently retired at the 2012 US Open. This hasn't stopped the 21-year old from following the sport. Following the 2004 Wimbledon final, Abel played Tennis at club level at the Elmwood Tennis club from 2004 - 2010 and still plays the sport on occasion as a hobbie.

Hoping to gain enough experience in the coming years, Abel aims to be a full time tennis writer or correspondent in the future, by following the steps of Neil Harman who he sees an example in the profession.
